Cedar Rapids School District Stories

The flood of 2008 took a heavy toll on our local schools, closing an elementary school serving some of the area’s lowest income and at-risk children. The School District administration building is uninhabitable to this date.

FEMA Trailers Home to Administrators

The school district’s administrative and support service offices are located in a complex of 35 FEMA mobile homes right next to the school district’s high school football field. You have to see it to believe it!
